S. Mahmood Ahmad

Mr. Ahmad's patent practice includes transactional intellectual property matters and client counseling, all phases of patent preparation and procurement, pre-litigation counseling, design around counseling, non-infringement analysis and opinion preparation, licensing, and portfolio management.

Mr. Ahmad was the executive and planning editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights and the staff editor of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Ahmad joined K&L Gates Ellis LLP in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and, in 2008, joined Kelley Drye & Warren LLP's Washington, DC office. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Ahmad served as a legal intern to The Honorable Sam A. Lindsay at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Mr. Ahmad has extensive pre-law experience developing, designing, and managing telecommunications and software development projects for Sprint Technology Services. Mr. Ahmad has also worked as an engineer in the petroleum industry in India.
