Wonki Park
Mr. Park has over 20 years of patent prosecution experience in various technologies. Mr. Park’s patent practice includes client counseling for all matters related to patent application preparation and procurement at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as post issuance matters including reissue, reexamination, validity opinions and infringement studies.
Prior to joining NSIP, Mr. Park worked at various law firms in the District of Columbia and Virginia. He started his career in patents as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the article handing and control system arts. Throughout his career, Mr. Park has worked on behalf of major U.S. and foreign corporations.
Mr. Park has successfully guided clients through the patent process by being highly intuitive about individual Patent Examiners and their particular requirements for issuing patents. He compares the patenting process to a chess match between a Patent Attorney and a Patent Examiner, and he continually searches for ways to give his clients an advantage.
He received his Juris Doctor from The University of Akron and Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University at Buffalo.
